Left the dry land early on,
I tried to conquer the raging seas.
Unlearned the lessons about seaworthy ships
and bottom crushing reefs.
Left to a voyage all alone without charts
or guiding stars.
This is my log book of journeys gone wrong
and how I moved on.
Wrecked my ship and got caught in undertow.
Held my breath, struggling to stay awake.
Sinked to the bottom just to see
that it wasn't meant for me.
Ankles tied with false hopes.
Lungs filled with failures.
I fought my way up to see,
that sea is calming around me.
I wrecked my ship and learned to swim
Only the dreamer in me drowned at this sea.
Now my friend, hold my head...
and force me to believe
a one last thing:
