My Faith Stands

The news I got this morning took me by
surprise,
my dreams could all be shattered right before
my eyes;
I can't pretend it's easy getting past the fear,
yet even in my weakness,
one thing remains clear.
My faith doesn't stand in the wisdom of men,
it stands in the power of God,
and it doesn't rise or fall when I'm back against
the wall;
My faith stands in the power of God.
I've faced these circumstances many times
before,
it's really not so different same old
metaphor;
Yet even when my problems masquerade as
light,
my faith becomes a candle shining through the night.
When struggles come and fear would rise
because of what I see,
I will keep trusting in God's faithfulness and
His ability;
Yes I choose to believe ...
