Origins (Of Measurable Being) Lyrics

Chuku said,
"Heed these words, and canine, spread:
resurrection lies in the hands of men,
and women.
Lay bodies over dirt fields,
spreading once-wood ashes upon the dead.
Now, go tell the false mortals of ill taught ways:
their dealings with dying.
Free them indefinitely,
of losses pain."
With that the quadruped fled on hastened heels,
on, through death-fields none would have known,
if not for lethargy.
A bearer's rest would spell disaster.
As the dog slept his god grew restless,
sent a second bearer in his stead,
tragically forgetful of what was said.
With renewed vigour of repose,
canine arrived on sullen scene:
burnt bodies buried under pervasive earth.
"Cease these actions presently;
all you've known of what comes when corpses shun breath
has left them lifeless."
Failing persuading the faithful,
the unwelcome "cur" left man to his meddling.
and so we die;
the passing of time weighing on our minds.
