PROPRIETE D'UNE NORME : Destruction, rejet anorexie, mépris de soi... Notre corps ne nous appartient plus. Il est devenu celui contre qui nous devons lutter pour exister et se faire accepter. Lutter contre soi-même et devenir son propre ennemi, son propre oppresseur. Sous l'emprise des pressions sociales, le contrôle de soi est illusoire... Les violences infligées ne font que modeler l'image du corps selon une norme restrictive où les formes même sont occultées. La volonté de contrôler son image est dès lors insidieusement conditionnée par un besoin de conformité qui falsifie nos identitées personnelles en faisant de notre corps la propriété d'une norme.
The property of a norm : Destruction, rejection, anorexia, self contempt... Our bodies no longer belong to us. They have become that against which we must fight in order to exist and to be accepted. To fight against oneself and in this way to become our worst enemy, our own oppressor. Under the influence of social pressures, the control of the self is an illusion... The violence inflicted serves only to mould the image of the body according to a restrictive norm where the actual shape is eclipsed. The will to contôl one's image is form now on insiduously conditioned by the need to conform which falsifies our peronal identities making our bodie the propety of a norm.
