Fiction Lyrics

Stretching ahead, divine walls that fell
will not reflect the crushing sound of the bell.

As they uncover the worlds' fiction,
You no longer fear eruption.
So be it then.
Come forth infection.
Spread beneath exploding skies.
Flood. Rise up, oceans.
At last you shall realize
your heads go higher than our
world could ever know.
So shall we run away
from this foolish, futile display?
How much longer before you wake,
or will you decide to throw your life
away from fear of the unknown?

As your time begins to run dry,
maybe you will put to rest the lie.
Presumably you would rather
waste away by looking toward the skies
(waste away until all that you ever can know is the time you spent looking toward the skies)
until you forget to wonder why.
(looking toward the skies and living the lie you'll be sure to forget to wonder why.)
As the oceans recede, and the skies turn red, you will be sure to know.
