my first impression of America
was a man walking on the MOON...

I thought, I thought: "This americans are MAD", they are mad!
But when I saw what this country do,
what of these people do,
when put in mind, it's incredible...
John F. Kennedy was the one in 1963 said:
"By the end of the decade we gonna put a man on the moon"
Well, not because is in everybodys mind
It's just the wright thing to do
It's what we are asking now
to the president Bush, First Minister Blair,
all the other world leaders to do
we asking them to do is something extraordinary:
Not put a man on the moon, is something like
"PUT WORLD KIND BACK ON EARTH"
We have the technology, we have the resources,
we have the KNOW-HOW... TO END the extreme poverty
if we have the will, and I belive we have the will.
Others, you know, the CIVIL RIGHT MOVEMENTS,
others END OF APARTHEID, others....
What was with this generation?
What's up to us?
I moon shout, I will put a man on the moon,
We'll end with the extreme poverty,
and we'll make poverty HISTORY!
That's what all we have to do!
And I belive that's not an impossible adventure
I belive in 50 years and look back at this moment
and they say: "There was a people in that time who said
It's not OK that a child die for lack of inmuninazation
It's not OK that a child die for lack of food in the XX century
That's NOT OK ANY MORE
