Crooked Rooms Lyrics

i´m shaking hands with silent knives, sleeping with snakes at my breast i should have known, traitors, liars, thieves - they´re having plans we don´t conceive, traitors, liars, thieves - all sharpen their teeth, in crooked rooms their smiles are bent, they speak in tongues and bear their fangs and build you up to tear you down, piece by piece they tear you down, traitors, liars, thieves - i wish you all had one neck and my hands were on it.
expl.: ok, this is going to be a tough one: the last line is inspired by a quotation from notorious serial killer Carl Panzram who wrote in a letter to the Society for the Abolishment of Capital Punishment upon learning of the Societies plans to petition for a commutation of his death sentence: "I look forward to a seat in the electric chair or dance at the end of a rope just like some folks do for their wedding night. The only thanks you and your kind will ever get from me for your efforts on my behalf is that i wish you all had one neck and that i had my hands on it. I have no desire whatever to reform myself. My only desire is to reform people who try to reform me, and i believe that the only way to reform people is to kill`em!"
now, it is in no way my intention to glorify a gruesome serial killer or his deeds, the quoted sentence is of course not meant to be taken literally. it is simply a c**mination of very negative feelings towards a lot of people. this world is full of people that could care less about those around them, that act without regard for others, taking advantage of those that trust them, cheating, lying, stealing just to get ahead. i´m sick of trusting smiles that turn into ugly grimaces. it makes me loose my faith in humanity. people simply are not good to each other.
